What is Purple Teaming?
Purple Teaming is a collaborative cybersecurity approach where the Red Teams (offensive security) and Blue Teams (defensive security) work together to improve an organization’s overall security. Instead of working independently, both teams share knowledge, test attacks, validate security controls, and strengthen detection and response capabilities. By working together, they can improve threat detection, validate security controls, enhance incident response, and reduce security risks. Purple Teaming also helps organizations align their security strategy with industry frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, making it easier to defend against modern cyber threats.
